New St. Maarten Powerboat And Snorkel Tour Goes To Anguilla, Caribbean
SXM Deals, a leading tour operator in St. Maarten, launches its newest exciting activity, the Anguilla Splash Tour. A fun thrilled excursion where island visitors are whisked aboard a 34 ft powerboat and head over to Anguilla and its neighboring smaller islands for a full day of fun and adventure.
The Anguilla Splash Tour starts at Bobby’s marina in Philipsburg with a check-in at 09h30. Once everyone is settled down, the tour departs from Philipsburg at 10h00 for a scenic cruise along St. Maarten’s coast. Some of the sights that one might see are the Simpson Bay lagoon bridge and famous Maho beach where planes land really close to the beach, water and bystanders.
The first stop of the day is at Little Bay in Anguilla, a beautiful and secluded beach protected by a steep cliff. This beach is only accessible by boat. Guests are invited to snorkel along the cliff or to simply explore the beach.
Once all guests have finished snorkeling, the tour moves on to Prickly Pear island. It is a remote and deserted island surrounded by an amazing reef. The highlights of this stop is the scenery and the BBQ lunch served to all guests. The island style lunch consists of BBQ ribs, chicken, Mahi Mahi along with local style rice and banana plantain. This is seriously one of the best lunches offered in the Caribbean and should not be missed.
After lunch, everyone has the opportunity to further explore the island or go snorkeling.
Later in the afternoon, the excursion makes its way to the last stop of the day at Sandy island. This small island is simply a small patch of sand in the middle of nowhere surrounded by its own reef. This little island really does give guests a feeling of being back in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.
The Anguilla Splash Tour is a welcomed excursion to the tour scene in St. Maarten and to cruise ship passengers because it is really the first and only tour that allows cruise ship passengers to go to Anguilla for the day and get back in time for their ship. Until now, all Anguilla tours were only reserved for hotel guests because the tours would leave very early in the morning and get back far too late in the afternoon.
This Anguilla powerboat excursion is from 10h00 till 16h00.
