This beach resembles the French Riviera with its many restaurants and bars all on the beach showcasing fine French cuisine, grill styled food to local cuisine. You will be leaving Orient Bay at the end of the evening with a very satisfied palate.There is often huge parties on the beach, music and fashion shows.Many water sport activities are available and a very popular activity in Orient Bay is Kite surfing due to all the wind in the area. If you haven’t tried it before, head over to the kite surfing school situated on the beach. Plenty of para-sailing and jet-skiing too.At the far end of the beach is a nudist resort, you will most certainly see much nudity. Once you’ve been in St. Maarten / St. Martin for a while, you will find it totally normal. It’s like driving!The beach itself is very nice, there is quite a bit of seaweed that is blown ashore and the water can be a little choppy and wavy which makes it more fun than the usual calm flat water of the other beaches on the island.It is a great spot for kids to go boogie boarding!There is plenty of parking too, you just have to find a spot on a busy Sunday.At night, there a very nice restaurants in the Plaza behind the beach which are worth a look.If you haven’t already been to Orient Bay, then make sure you check it out!
