Baie Rouge Beach in St. Martin
Baie Rouge is another very beautiful beach on the French side of St. Maarten / St. Martin. With a great view of Anguilla and the narrow channel separating both islands, you will often see sail boats coming from Anguilla are simply passing by as they make their way over to the Dutch side of the island.
There are two small beach restaurants serving all kinds of grilled foods and drinks, tables and chairs are present too.
Make sure that you brink your snorkel gear along, diving in the area can be very nice depending on the weather conditions. If you snorkel along the cliff on the right side of the beach and follow it all around, you will find a nice swim through cave, another wonder of St. Maarten/St. Martin! Just make sure that you do this when the weather is very calm, otherwise, it can be very dangerous.
There is a parking area but it tends to full up very quickly on weekends, parking your car then becomes rather fun.
